Building Blocks of Socialism – Session 1: What is Capitalism?

March 9 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Snohomish County PUD Building – Room 2BC

(2320 California St, Everett, WA 98201)

The Political Education Committee has launched a new series, Building Blocks of Socialism! In our first event of the series, we will tackle the problem of capitalism: what it is, how it works, and how exploitation roils at its core.

This event is open to the public, especially to folks who are angry with capitalism and curious about alternatives. The event will feature lecture, short video, and group discussion. Learners will also have an opportunity to select their own reading and discuss them with a small group.

By the end of the session, we hope learners will be able to define the system of capitalism in their own words and in terms that they’d be comfortable sharing with others in their communities. The session will be led by SnoCo DSA members who are union K-12 educators.

A light lunch and refreshments will be served.
